Ostracoda Species from Upper Triassic of Baluti Formation (Amadiya Section) in Northern Iraq

Five ostracode species have been described from Baluti Formation (Upper Triassic) of North Iraq, these are Fabanella A , Hungarella moorei (Jones)-Anderson, 1964, Ogmoconcha cf. blakei (Sohn, 1968), Ogmoconcha bristolensis (Anderson, 1964), Cytherella acuta Urlichs, 1972.تم وصف خمسة أنواع من الأوست ا ركودا من تكوين بموطي )الت ا رياسي الاعمى(، وهذه الأنواع هي:
Fabanella A , Hungarella moorei (Jones)-Anderson, 1964 , Ogmoconcha cf. blakei (Sohn,1968), Ogmoconcha bristolensis (Anderson, 1964), Cytherella acuta Urlichs, 1972.

Some Ostracoda Species of Tanjero Formation (Late Campanian- Maastrichtian) of Diana Area, NE Iraq.

Eleven ostracode species belonging to eight genera were described and illustrated for the first time from Tanjero Formation (Late Campanian- Maastrichtian) at Diana, North East Iraq, which six species are new: Cytherella suranensis sp. nov.; Cytherella omarians sp. nov.; Bairdia dianaensis sp. nov.; Bythocypris sirwanensis sp. nov.; Bairdoppilata halabijaensis sp. nov. and Limburgina kaniensis sp. nov.:

On some Species of the Ostracode Genus Polycope from Baluti Formation (Upper Triassic), Northern Iraq

Five ostracode species belong to the genus Poloycope have been described from Baluti Formation (Upper Triassic) of North Iraq, these are: P. aghdarbandensTollman 1991, P. bourquinaeCrasquin and Gradinaru 1996, P. spp. Forel and Crasquin 2011, P. sp.A Rosenfeld and Honigstein 1998 and P. sp. Monostori 1996:

Ostracode Biostratigraphy of Shiranish, Hartha and Mushorah Formations from Selected Boreholes Northwest and Central Iraq

Ostracode biostratigaphy were investigated in detail from three formations (Shiranish, Hartha and Mushorah ) in subsurface sections of four boreholes Northwest and centre of Iraq.
On the basis of the ostracode species distribution, the studied formations were divided into four ostracode biozones as follows:

Biozone 1: Cytherella IRC 22 Interval zone. (Early Campanian).
Biozone 2: Occultocythereis elongata Interval zone. (Late Campanian).
Biozone 3: Krithe sp. M 1113 Interval zone. (Early Maastrichtian).
Biozone 4: Holcopocythere bassiporosa Interval zone. (Late Maastrichtian).

Depending on the above biozones correlated with other previous works from Iraq and the Middle East regions the following ages were proposed for the studied formations:

Shiranish Formation: Late Campanian - Maastrichtian.
Hartha Formation: Late Campanian - Early Maastrichtian.
Mushorah Formation: Early Campanian.
